This mural was produced in Sandgate on the Telstra exchange building in consultation with Brisbane City Council and the local community.
In line with comments from the local community this design was developed to be unique and memorable with a bright and youthful spirit.

The Telstra Exchange has been around for years however most people living in the 4017 don’t even realise it is there. Sitting opposite the Sandgate train station the hulking building has been a particular eye sore in the community for a long time.
We were commissioned by the council to produce a mural that changed the atmosphere around this building by tapping in to what the community valued.
4017 Architecture

One of the key features of the mural is the addition of many local pieces of architecture from the local area. 4017 is full of interesting and unusual homes and buildings.
Community Culture

The other important aspect captured in the mural is the local culture. From relaxing on the waterfront to live music in the local venues, the local community wanted to capture the ethos of bayside living.
